Promoting togetherness

So Larry and I are reading a premarital book called "Before you say I do".
It's actually a pretty good book, I feel like we are both learning a lot about each other and a lot about ourselves. We're both coming from marriages that ended and it's important to both of us to make sure that we know we will be a united front in everything. That we will always be able to depend on that person for what we need.

We stayed up pretty late last night talking. We were both tired but when you're discussing important things you somehow find the energy to stay awake.

I don't know how I could be more blessed than I am right now. I admittedly sometimes feel undeserving of him and his love, thinking What could I have possibly done to have become so lucky in finding him?

I just want to say today, and will try to tell you every day Larry, that you mean a lot to me, you make me feel very very special and I love you with all my heart. You're unbelievably special and I feel humbled to have your undying and unwavering love.

Just kidding. The book is actually quite good. The main thing is that it promotes conversation on topics that you may or may not have already talked about. There are some questions they ask that we have to just scratch our heads together and wonder what the point is, but mainly it stays on track of getting us to discuss some things that we might not have discussed otherwise. I really enjoy doing it and we're only on the 3rd chapter. I can't wait to get to the more "meaty" chapters. It's amazing that we've known each other for a little over a year and I'm still learning new things.

/end sappy moment.

Ummm... Sorry to intrude, you two...

Sarah, how can you be coming from a marriage that ended? You're only five, for cryin' out loud!

I'm going to write a "premarital book," too. Its working title is "RUN! RUN! DON'T LOOK BACK!"

(By the way: I'll be spending the next week or two reading all the blogs I haven't had time to read lately. This means I'll be making comments on old posts and ticking everybody off. Oh, what fun!)

Is there an echo in here?

And we've established I am 45 so get off it!

Sorry about the echo effect. I'll be putting it on all my comments for the next few days, until I'm caught up with all my links. You won't be seeing it again on yours!
